From Ichabod to Houses of Glory

^{And she named the boy Ichabod, saying, “The glory has left Israel,” because the ark of God had been taken and because of [the deaths of] her father-in-law and her husband. She said, “The glory has left Israel, for the ark of God has been taken.”}

1 Samuel 4: 21,22

A vision from the 10.11.2019

Before I went into the vision I was in worship. I was attending service at a Tamil congregation about 2 hours drive from my city. The Sri Lankan congregation was singing in their language but also in tongues. Their worship was so pure and so moving, it came from the depths of their spirits. I stretched my hands high, closed my eyes and let myself be washed with wave after wave of beautiful sounds. Suddenly, in a closed vision, I saw the Lord descend in front of me. He wrapped me in His red mantle and took me up into heaven.

As the congregation continued to worship, I continued to see in the spirit. I saw the throne of God ahead. It was surrounded by clouds of glory which gave off bright light and golden flashes of light. The whole place was light up. I saw and heard the multitude singing, and it was as if they were singing with the people around me in the church. I saw myriads of angels around the throne and above the multitude, light beings that moved to the worship. It was mesmerising.

Then I saw two large angels who were shimmering gold in their appearance, their gold wings stretched out high above them. They came from behind the throne carrying something on two poles. It was the Ark of the Covenant. It was large and covered in gold. I then saw how the Ark was tilted by the two angels so that the surface of it could be seen by the multitude. Then I saw how the surface of the Ark was pulled out sideways to reveal the contents. I saw tablets of stone and in my spirit I knew it was the Law of the Israelites as written by Moses. I was so shocked and overwhelmed at what I was witnessing. The Ark of the Covenant had been brought out and was now being revealed. I heard the Lord say to my spirit, that such a thing only occurred in places of worship that were Holy.

Later I told the pastor of the church and his wife about what I had seen. They then opened up and told me that they had been praying for years that their church would be a holy place, that their church would be a meeting place like Mount Sinai, where Moses went into the cloud to commune with God. The previous week, the pastors wife had heard from God that He was going to show all aspects of Himself in their church. This confirmed what I had seen about the Ark been taken out and shown off.

As we drove home after the service, I thought about other gathering places scattered across the earth, holy places with open heavens over them. Places where God could come down to meet with His people and commune with them, places where He could receive worship in spirit and in truth…Houses of Glory.

The Lord is looking for places on the earth where He can show up just as He is. He is a holy God, that is an integral part of His character. Unfortunately, many churches on the earth are Ichabod houses, God cannot and will not enter into those congregations because of sin in the church. Other churches once had the glory, once experienced revival, but somewhere along the way they grew cold and abandoned their First Love…they became Houses of Ichabod.

If you read the following passage carefully, you will see that it was the sanctification/separation of the priests, combined with worship, that brought the glory of God down:

The Glory of God Fills the Temple

When the priests came out of the Holy Place (for all the priests who were present had sanctified themselves [separating themselves from everything unclean], without regard to their assigned divisions), and all of the Levitical singers, Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun, with their sons and relatives, clothed in fine linen, with cymbals, harps, and lyres were standing at the east end of the altar, and with them a hundred and twenty priests blowing trumpets in unison when the trumpeters and singers were to make themselves heard with one voice praising and thanking the Lord, and when they raised their voices accompanied by the trumpets and cymbals and [other] instruments of music, and when they praised the Lord, saying, “For He is good, for His mercy and lovingkindness endure forever,” then the house of the Lord was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not remain standing to minister because of the cloud; for the glory and brilliance of the Lord filled the house of God.

2 Chronicles 5: 11-14

But new days are coming. Houses of worship and houses of prayer are being established in cities all over the earth, arks (apostolic revival centres) and revival hubs which will function under a constant open heaven are being built up even now. The glory is coming, it is even now being released upon the earth, many hearts are being prepared to receive it and to carry it, yes the Lord is raising up glory-carriers. Many have witnessed glory clouds appearing at gatherings, gold dust manifestations, spontaneous healings and deliverances because of the presence of God filling up a room. This is only the beginning, these signs are only the birth pangs of what is about to be birthed upon the earth. The Fear of the Lord is coming back into the church, a wave of repentance is going to hit us to prepare our hearts us for the coming glory that will NOT leave, but will stay until the end of the ages. And the nations will flock to these Houses of Glory, to Places of His Presence, and we will commune intimately with the living God.

But [the time is coming when] the earth shall be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the Lord , As the waters cover the sea.
