For He is like a refiner’s fire and like launderer’s soap [which removes impurities and uncleanness]. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi [the priests], and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may present to the Lord [grain] offerings in righteousness. Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the Lord as in the days of old and as in ancient years.
Malachi 3: 2-4
A vision from the 23.01.2019
I stood at the edge of a cliff. Around me were many mountains, as far as the eye could see.
A pillar of fire suddenly appeared and hovered in front of me. Then it circled around me once, and then hovered in front of me again. I then noticed a door, right in the middle of the fire, and steps, hovering in mid-air leading into the pillar of fire. It was an invitation to go in.
Wow. This vision is what launched what I would call Holy Ghost Fevers in my life. I literally started to feel a burning sensation inside of my body at any given time of the day. Sometimes the fevers came at night; I would wake up in the middle of the night burning up, my pyjamas drenched in sweat. Sometimes the fevers would come while I was sitting at my workplace, randomly during the day. This did not make concentrating at work easy. Sometimes the burning sensation was localised at a certain spot on my body. This sounds crazy but this is what was happening to me. I knew that I was not sick, health-wise; it was the fire of God purifying me from the inside out. I remember some afternoons just lying on the couch, in a fever, waiting for it to lift off. It was always a relief when it did, even though I was grateful for the work the Lord was doing in me. These Holy Spirit Fevers lasted for weeks. Thank You God for deliverance!
It will come about in all the land,
Declares the Lord,
Two parts in it will be cut off and perish,
But the third will be left alive.
And I will bring the third part through the fire,
Refine them as silver is refined,
And test them as gold is tested.
They will call on My name,
And I will listen and answer them;
I will say, ‘They are My people,’
And they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’
Zechariah 13: 8,9 AMP
As we go from glory to glory, we will also go from holiness to holiness. Glory and Holiness are intertwined. The closer we want to approach the throne of God, the holier we must become, and the Lord helps us in this process of sanctification by drawing us closer to Him with His flames of fire. He literally draws us into the fire of Himself to burn away anything in us that is not holy. Just like the verse above describes, The Lord is looking for that remnant, the “third part” who will not perish, whom He will purify as an inheritance for Himself.
True sons and daughters of The Most High God welcome this process, because they understand that in this fire, they are being moulded into the very image the Son, Jesus. They understand that afterwards, they will be more pleasing to the Father and more useful for His kingdom. There is the sacrifice of laying oneself down on the altar, dying to yourself, decreasing so that He may increase, getting rid of the old man and emerging as a new creation, IN Him. The lust of the eyes and the lust of the flesh, as well as the pride of life are burnt way as you are forged to become one spirit with Him. You become that translucent gold that radiates the glory of the living God.
Friends, the God of the New Testament is still the God of the Old Testament. This God calls us to be Holy:
But like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves in all your conduct [be set apart from the world by your godly character and moral courage]; it is written, “You shall be holy (set apart), for I am holy.”
1 Peter 1:15-16 (AMP)
Fires destroys and fire refines. As priests in the kingdom of God, we also called to be pure, so that the sacrifices of praise, worship and prayer that we bring to Him may also be pure with a pleasing fragrance.
Since we are receiving our rights to an unshakeable kingdom we should be extremely thankful and offer God the purest worship that delights his heart as we lay down our lives in absolute surrender, filled with awe. For our God is a holy, devouring fire!
Hebrews 12: 28,29 TPT
We enter into the fire with gladness and thanksgiving because we understand the sacrifice that was paid in order that we may enter in and not be destroyed by the fire, but rather we are purified by it. All our works on the earth will one day also go through this purification process. It is better that we are purified while we are on earth, so that all the works we do are of the spirit and are led by the Spirit, for nothing that is of the flesh can enter into the kingdom of God, and all works which are of the flesh will not survive the fire.
Each one’s work will be clearly shown [for what it is]; for the day [of judgment] will disclose it, because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality and character and worth of each person’s work. If any person’s work which he has built [on this foundation, that is, any outcome of his effort] remains [and survives this test], he will receive a reward. But if any person’s work is burned up [by the test], he will suffer the loss [of his reward]; yet he himself will be saved, but only as [one who has barely escaped] through fire.
1 Cor 3: 13- 15
20 Now in a large house there are not only [a]vessels and objects of gold and silver, but also vessels and objects of wood and of earthenware, and some are for honorable (noble, good) use and some for dishonorable (ignoble, common). 21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things [which are dishonorable—disobedient, sinful], he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified [set apart for a special purpose and], useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. 22 Run away from youthful lusts—pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those [believers] who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
