God is a God of Reconciliation. He is uniting man unto Himself, regardless of their background. That is the power of the cross!
Those who have already been reconciled to Christ, our job is to be God’s ambassadors here in the world:
- to find all the lost sheep and bring them back
- to call back to the Father’s house the prodigal sons and daughters
- to set the captive free, give sight to the spiritually blind, heal the brokenhearted (Isaiah 61, Luke 4: 18)
2Co 5:18-21 NKJV
Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
This Jewish man suffered a lot after declaring Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. He was ostracised by his family for proclaiming that Yeshua is the Messiah, lost his inheritance and was kicked out onto the street. How far are we normal Christians willing to suffer for Christ?
There is a happy ending though. Now this man is working in the ministry of reconciliating God’s chosen people. His testimony is amazing!
Praise God Hallelujah!
